Lineage II Mini Standee
Mini Standee produced for inclusion in the Lineage II Collector’s Edition from NCsoft.
This design was fabricated from a variety of different sources, mostly concept art which for Lineage II was never in short supply. Although the cut-out figure could be separated to produce the standee, it came as part of a full scene, so creating a balance between a single figure that could stand on its own and the composition as a whole was a challenge.
As with nearly all the character based designs I produced for NCsoft, the background image, foreground and characters had to be coloured, scaled and individually lit to fit seamlessly into the composition, then digitally painted hues, light spills and coronas were added to match the strong backlighting of the sunset background. Once the composition was complete I then had to determine the cutting line which would separate the actual standee from the main image.
